CHANGES
All our trips and outdoor activities depend on the weather and other conditions. Adventure Point reserves the right to change your itinerary or cancel your trip with your safety in mind. If we are forced to cancel your trip due to factors outside of our control before it starts, you will be fully refunded for the prepaid trip.
As we are operating trips on and around a glacier we will have to adapt the tour to suit the conditions on the glacier with the safety of our clients in mind as the deciding factor. An example might be that the caves are flooded then we will not enter them but hike up on the glacier to explore other phenomena. If we are forced to change your itinerary at some point during your trip you may or may not be partially refunded for your tour, this depends on what trip you are on and at what stages that trip is. This refund is never more than 50% since in most cases the majority of our operating costs have already been realized after your trip starts.

All our tours depend on weather and glacier conditions. Adventure Point reserves the right to change routes and locations and/or cancel your trip without prior notice, keeping your safety in mind, should the necessity arise.
Please keep in mind that Iceland is an island where the weather changes fast, often, and unpredictably. Our number one priority is to make decisions with your safety in mind. Please be aware of this and respect your guide’s authority to do so.
CANCELLATION
All cancellations of tours must go through our office by email to info@adventurepoint.is. If clients cancel their tour more than 24 hours prior to departure we refund the trip in full. If clients cancel their tour within 24 hours of departure no refund will be given. Please note that if the weather or other conditions prevent us from going on the tour we will repay the client, but we don’t repay the fee if the client is late, or doesn’t show up even if the weather is very bad, in case that we are able to do our trip. So we recommend staying in a hotel or guesthouse east of Skaftafell in Vatnajokull National Park, and close to or in Höfn.

MEETING POINT

As the traveler, you are responsible for arriving at the meeting point on time for your tour. This includes being ready at the correct time at the proper location at least 10 minutes before departure time. The meeting point is the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon parking lot.
Please note that Jokulsarlon’s parking lot may be full, and it may take time to find a spot for your car, especially during the high season. Please manage your time carefully.
In a case if you do not arrive on time for your tour and/or are late to the meeting point, we consider it a no-show, and you are not entitled to a refund.
